Untitled hand made large plate form. Item 292 is a large 12 inch wide plate form using a golden brown micaceous clay body, there is flecks of mica on the surface of the piece. The form is made using a hand building process slab work. The plate is hand burnished and hand painted using a black underglaze, electric kin fired. The mica clay represents the northern people of new mexico. The black paint is all about the night and protection. The black lines represents the rain and half circle forms symbolizes the clouds. A flower motif design is at the center of the plate.
